I have sent in a public request for information already. I would like you address the following concern. On Aug 4th I went to the Best Buy by the Tacoma Mall. I witnessed a police car parked in the fire lane of the Best Buy. I figured the police were there to arrest a shoplifter or something. After witnessing the Police Officer sitting in a chair at the door for more than an hour, on her cell phone and yucking it up with staff. I called a manager over asked what was going on. The manager informed me that officer was there as private security. My question then was who was paying for the taxpayer supported police vehicle which is being used as intimidation that was parked beside the front door. Both the officer and the manager were unable to give me that information. So specifically who is paying for the use of taxpayer supported police cars when police use them on private security jobs? Are you cool with private companies using your tax dollars to benefit their profit margin?
